3. Where Data Is Stored
In your browser (local extension storage)
The extension stores limited local values such as:
isAuthenticatedsecretKeydeviceIdproxy_config_v2
This local storage is used to keep you logged in and run features like proxy sync and session management.
On backend services
The extension communicates with backend APIs (as configured in code) to:
- Validate access and device registration.
- Fetch/save cookie/session data.
- Fetch proxy configuration.
4. Proxy Use
When enabled by backend policy, DAT Ex Pro may configure browser proxy settings and provide proxy authentication credentials for proxy challenges.
- Proxy settings are applied only to support extension functionality.
- Proxy credentials are retrieved from the backend after successful authenticated requests.
- Proxy configuration can be cleared when authentication is removed or invalidated.
5. Data Sharing
We may share data only with:
- Our backend service providers required to operate authentication, session, and proxy services.
- Legal/regulatory authorities when required by law.
We do not sell personal information.
6. Data Retention
- Local extension data remains until you log out, clear extension storage, uninstall, or data is removed by extension logic.
- Backend-stored data retention is determined by operational and legal requirements.
7. Security
We use challenge-token verification and device-binding checks in backend workflows to reduce unauthorized access risk. However, no transmission or storage method is guaranteed to be 100% secure.
