Privacy Policy for SwiftSolutions

This Privacy Policy explains how the SwiftSolutions Chrome extension ("SwiftSolutions", "we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and handles information when you use the extension.

1. Information We Collect

• Authentication information: The secret key you enter to authenticate extension access.
• Device identifier: A generated device identifier used to associate extension requests with your device.
• Cookie data: When you use extension features to save/merge/export cookie-related data, cookie fields (such as name, value, domain, path, secure flag, httpOnly flag, sameSite, and expiration date) may be processed and sent to our backend service.
• Active tab domain: The current tab's hostname/domain is read to support domain-specific operations.
• Local extension storage: Authentication state and related extension settings are stored locally using Chrome extension storage.

2. How We Use Information

• To authenticate users and validate extension access.
• To provide cookie management features requested by the user.
• To associate requests with your extension installation and device.
• To maintain extension functionality, reliability, and security.

3. Permissions and Why They Are Required

• cookies: Read/remove/manage cookies for extension features.
• tabs and activeTab: Identify the current tab/domain for user-requested actions.
• storage: Save extension state (for example, authentication status).
• downloads: Support export/download features initiated by the user.
• <all_urls> host permission: Required for cookie operations across domains as part of the extension's intended functionality.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Data is transmitted to our backend service only as needed to provide extension functionality you trigger. Our backend endpoint currently operates at: https://datexpro-b.onrender.com.

5. Data Retention

Data stored locally remains until you clear extension/browser data or uninstall the extension. Server-side data may be retained only as long as necessary to provide the service, maintain security, and meet legal obligations.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect data in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

7. Your Choices

• You can uninstall the extension at any time.
• You can clear extension data from Chrome settings.
• You can stop using features that transfer data to the backend.

8. Children's Privacy

The extension is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted at the same policy URL with a revised effective date.
